The Western, especially US, obsession with super-heroes is odd, maybe unique. Old mythologies talk about heroes, but not the lonely “super” type. It’s a genre that doesn’t speak to people in a lot of the world. I live in Korea, and their take on super heroes is much different. The heroes are emotional, usually integrated well into society and families, and even when not, end up that way. Give a watch to “Strong woman Do Bong Soon” (https://www.dramafever.com/drama/4988/strong-woman-do-bong-soon/) (hope you have a high tolerance for slapstick) or the semi-fantasy “Goblin: The Great and Lonely God” (https://www.dramafever.com/drama/4914/goblin-the-lonely-and-great-god/). Very different perspective.
