I realized today that I had made this nice flowchart about two years ago of how I decide when to add qualifiers and increment version numbers, but I never shared it anywhere very useful. Well its been a lot longer than two years now, but this still feels useful. I originally created this chart in the context of Maven Versioning, but I still use it when I’m applying Semantic Versioning to my latest (non-Maven) work.
