The main problem with this idea is that it’s based on a lie. Guns are not now, nor have they ever been, the problem. They are, in fact, the solution to the problem; or at least an integral part of the solution.

The real problem is maturity and respect for others. Guns have been an integral part of our lives for 240 years. Only now, during the reign of the most divisive president in history, are guns suddenly a problem.

This happened almost overnight. It won’t be fixed that quickly; a lot of damage has been done to our decency and morality by a group of people dedicated to destroying the greatest nation in history, and it will require us to return to what worked for 240 years.
