Deafening silence

The Good: feature heavy with fantastic sound for bluetooth headphones combined with excellent noise cancelling software.

The Bad: Less focus on comfort, audio tuner only available in SBC formats, some questions for build quality for its price at 350 USD

The WH1000XM2 is a feature heavy active noise Cancelling over ear headphone that rivals its Sennhieser, and Bose competitors

Sony has revised their WH1000x with the new WH10002s, yes that is a mouthful and they really need to get their naming conventions under control. They claim that they have fixed the quality control in the plastics where the joint for folding the headphones up would lead to cracking. Personally, I have noticed a slight creaking in the left side of the headphones but no cracking yet. The headband is a premium brushed aluminum with a plush albeit narrow cushion. As mentioned before the siding is of a plastic build, this plastic is high quality pvc. The cushions are a memory foam covered with faux leather that’s really soft. My ears get warm easily but throughout a day of constant use with only some warming; even in the summer sun of Washington state. It stayed on even when I went on a short jog throughout the neighborhood.
