Have you checked out your 401k, 457, 403b, or IRA? Most have mutual funds in them, some are all mutual funds, and you pay fees to the financial advisor.

Did you know in every mutual fund you pay fees for investment advice and marketing to financial advisor? That means you could be paying fees twice, so you think you are paying only 1 or 1 and three quarter percent fee to your broker, and yet you could be paying another one half to one percent to the mutual fund.

Now we read about diversification, your portfolio must be diversified so you do not miss out or protect yourself against down turns. Have you reviewed the stocks in your mutual funds, do you know how much of the same stocks have been purchase by your different funds. If you are in 10 funds what is your total investment in Apple, Google, Yahoo, etc…

Time to think outside the box… Time to review… Time to rebalance.
