If Lonzo doesn’t show the ability to consistently shoot at a high percentage, he’s going to have trouble beating defenders off the dribble and dishing the ball since they’re just going to back up and give him space, daring him to shoot. You don’t have to have a perfectly formed jump shot motion — Steph Curry doesn’t — to succeed from outside in the NBA, but I can’t think of any other consistent shooter ever that has such a strange side to side arm motion. I’m very skeptical he’s going to be successful without fixing it.
