Ahsoka (TV series) 2023 watch online
The American television miniseries Ahsoka, often referred to as Star Wars: Ahsoka, was developed and scripted by Dave Filoni for Disney+. It is a part of the Star Wars brand and a spin-off from The Mandalorian, and it continues the animated series Star Wars Rebels. It takes place in the same time period as that series and its other related spin-offs following the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). Following the collapse of the Empire, the series follows Ahsoka Tano as she looks into a new danger to the galaxy.
Ahsoka Tano is portrayed by Rosario Dawson in the lead role, carrying on from The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian’s second season saw the live-action premiere of the character, which was developed for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and voiced by Ashley Eckstein. The character’s spin-off series, with Dawson resuming her role and Filoni serving as writer after he co-created the character, was confirmed in December 2020. Early in May 2022, when it was reported that several Rebels characters would be present, production got under way. It was finished in October. Casting
Rosario Dawson was revealed to be returning to her role as Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian with the launch of the series in December 2020.According to rumors, Lucasfilm was searching for an actress to play the Rebels character Sabine Wren around August 2021.Hayden Christensen was scheduled to return as Anakin Skywalker in October, while Natasha Liu Bordizzo was chosen to play Wren in November.Ivanna Sakhno joined the cast in a secret capacity later that month.Ray Stevenson joined the cast as an admiral in February 2022, and in January 2022 Mary Elizabeth Winstead took on an unspecified role. In Rebels and The Clone Wars, Stevenson provided the voice of Gar Saxon. In May, when Hera Syndulla and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels were reported to be participating in the series, Bordizzo’s role as Wren was formally announced. When Day Shift (2022) was being filmed, she learned that she had been cast.It was confirmed that Eman Esfandi had been chosen to play Ezra Bridger in the show in September 2022. Mena Massoud, who was thought to be portraying the character in the series, admitted that he had tried out for the part but that the casting had not progressed after Esfandi’s casting was made public.
Winstead was cast as Hera Syndulla, Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, it was confirmed during Star Wars Celebration Europe in April 2023. In addition, a number of senators were represented by Maurice Irvin, Jacqueline Antaramian, Nelson Lee, and Erica Duke, as well as Mon Mothma, Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant, the voice of the droid Huyang, and Lars Mikkelsen, who was reprising his role as Grand Admiral Thrawn.Up to the 2023 Star Wars Celebration, the production team had kept Mikkelsen’s participation a secret; he had previously denied playing the character again. The opinion of the website’s critics is as follows: “Ahsoka is a must-watch for fans of the series, elevated by Rosario Dawson’s superb performance in the title character and a smart tale that combines new and old parts of the Star Wars storyline. The series now has a weighted average score of 68 out of 100 on Metacritic, which indicates “generally favorable reviews” based on 25 reviewers.
