Fosaprepitant-An intravenous (I.V.) antiemetic drug

Fosaprepitant, generally exists as its dimeglumine salt is an IV antiemetic medication commonly used as a premedication for chemotherapy regimens in combination with other antiemetics. It helps in the prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting when administering moderately to highly emetogenic chemotherapy regimens.
Fosaprepitant is a water soluble, phosphorylated analog of Aprepitant and it is rapidly converted to Aprepitant after intravenous administration. Aprepitant is a selective high‐affinity antagonist of human substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptors and also inhibits emesis via central actions.
