I continue to be amazed at the lack of nuance in the debate about climate change and the most appropriate response to it. It frequently has all the hallmarks of cultic behaviour (i.e., a religious or personality cult). A constant refusal to engage with “the Other” except to berate and lambast presumed ignorance.
It is an extraordinary phenomena to behold when you consider that the scientific enterprise is founded on the principle of scepticism. Yet in this debate, scepticism is treated with contempt.
The Copenhagen Consensus provides a rare ray of hope and light. I am also encouraged by the ongoing efforts of Dr Patrick Moore to bring a more realistic understanding, of the benefits of CO2 in particular.
