MakerSquare: Week 3 Day 3

It’s week 3 at day 3 here at Makersquare. So far it has been quite exhilarating. For the past two days, our cohort has been working on a chat application that interacts with a server called Parse. It was the first time most of these students have been exposed to that kind of programming. Building APIs and testing code with other students is a very rewarding endeavor.

Unfortunately, about an hour before our class ended each day, a student would launch a XSS attack and would essentially bombard the server with blank messages, so no one was able to see or test their work. Though it hindered some from completing a final product, it was comical and really gave us a chance to secure our programs.

I look forward to learning the backbone and angular libraries this week. More to follow soon.
