Thrown in some different childhood issues, narcissism and overzealous social activists, and you’ve got an insightful article into the human condition that will receive 9,973 less hearts than a post about the show “Friends.”
(Yes, even when they ask you to be their ninja editor. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!)

Ha! I know the one of which you speak and I Saturday Confess I did read that one. I clicked the bait. (Someone aught to make Saturday Confessions an ongoing thing. I rather like them.) The human condition is much more interesting. That’s largely why I’m here and not on Facebook anymore.

On Facebook, I would post a thing about the Syrian refugee crisis and link to the UNHCR donations page. Nothing. Not a damn thing. Crickets. Hardcore summer-time cricket noise and the very faint sound of a sad trombone.

I post a picture of my son — I get a million likes.

Baby pictures and political rants are to Facebook what self-help life-hack articles are to Medium. I guess every place has its thing. The difference, at least to me, and this is the reason I like Medium better, is that I’ve found some folks who think it’s cool to care.

I’ve found my audience, I guess.
