Dear news media: Create news for people who have never read a newspaper
James Tyner

This is just naysaying. If you don’t have all the time in the world, you start with the headline, which is the type that’s bigger than the rest. And if you don’t have time for that, go back to snapchatting face swaps of your friends. What’s REALLY troublesome about this is EVERY SINGLE STORY ON THE HOMEPAGE is about Donald Trump. I’m a fan of the Washington Post, but they must address this imbalance for a paper that purports to cover the whole country, if not the world. This is not the only example. (Side note: Don’t use emojis when you write for a large general audience. I don’t care what generation you’re a part of, you won’t be taken seriously by anyone over age 25).

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
