I agree that this is a much bigger story than you would think based on the existing coverage. And the really crappy part is that this is not some cash-strapped startup (like Leeo- I pray they keep the lights on so my $300 hardware investment continues to work), this is Google. Google is making the claim that very few people use this device anyway. If that’s true, then it cost very little to issue them all refunds and move on. But to brick a product without any compensation is insane, only a few years after the product’s release.
