A battle rages on every single day for your mind and your body. Do you see it?

At this very moment, somebody, somewhere, in a lab, is designing the next food product you will be addicted to. Do you see it?

Right now, the next “social” app or upgrade to one you’re already addicted to is being designed to be as addictive or more so to you as humanly possible. Do you see it?

Late last night, an editor changed the title of an article in order to provoke a reaction from you, mainly with just your attention. That’s all they came for, until tomorrow’s piece that is. Do you see it?

Right now, somebody, somewhere, is writing the next inflammatory sexist or racist piece to troll you, anger you, dominate you. Do you see it?

Never will there be a shortage of people and things seeking to control your body, attention, emotions and happiness. Do you see it?

You don’t see it? You’re the battery that powers economies, spurs innovation, culture and debate, right? That’s because you’re the mark. What are you going to do about it?

You don’t want to see it? Okay. The blue pill is a choice. Ignorance is bliss, right?

You see it? Good for you. What are you going to do about it?

What, were you waiting for me to tell you what to do? How would that make me any different from those seeking to control your mind? Fucked up, isn’t it? Yea, I know.

Still here? Okay. Here’s one piece of advice, friend:

You do not control what others do to you and say to you or about you. You do, however, control how you react to it.

Good luck.
