Yves Saint Laurent, the iconic French label known for it’s striking, feminine features and captivating silhouettes in fashion, encapsulates the rockstar lifestyle in their footwear; namely their boots.

The Classic Wyatt Harness boot is available in three different shades of brown (nut suede, cigar suede, & light tobacco suede), and four different styles of black, two leather and two suede variations.

The nut suede color way (pictured above), is made in Italy and features ochre suede, press stud-fastening D-ring harness straps, leather linings and soles, cuban heels, a back pull-on tab, zip fastening, and even comes with a dust bag to keep the boots as clean as possible. As with all suede shoes, one should take care in wearing them in especially wet weather, as to avoid ruining the material.

The boot runs true to size, which is important to note as some boots with styles similar to this (chelsea boots, jodhpur boots, etc), tend to run half a size bigger than one’s regular shoe size.

The sleek, yet attractive appearance of the shoe holds up to the image and standard of high-class fashion that we have come to expect from the Yves Saint Laurent brand.

Due to the steep retail price on the shoes (between $1095 — $1295), you won’t see too many people with these boots on a regular basis, which further adds on to the exclusive, unique nature of the shoe and overall brand.

When it comes to actually wearing the shoe, it is common to see it being worn with slim, narrow jeans, in a indigo or black color, in order to further accentuate the slick, western aesthetic of the boot. The jeans should sit at the top of the boot and rest, as to not swallow the rest of the shoe.

When it comes to my personal style, these boots are a grail that I would one day love to purchase. The overall style and look of them go perfectly with the sort of free, rockstar look and feel that I enjoy embodying.

Although the pant style is a bit limited in options, there are a multitude of choices in tops. For instance, a patterned button up for the hotter days, and then a turtleneck with a leather jacket for when it gets chilly.

There is also an assortment of accessories that can be used to highlight different styles that the boot can be apart of. One could opt for a small scarf/bandana around the neck or head, as an homage to the rocker style, along with various types of jewelery.

While some may not be as huge fans of this boot as I am, I think this shoe does an excellent job of grabbing attention in a subtle, fashionable manner.

The feminine features of the raised heel, pointed toe, and high boot are perfect for those who are comfortable enough with their masculinity to challenge the norms of only women wearing slim, stacked heel boots.

This sort of style reminds me of great artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson, and more recently, Harry Styles, who are all confident enough in themselves to be able to wear what they want, how they want, and withstand critique from the peanut gallery, all while still living out their lives to the fullest.
