How Employees Are Using #VR and #AR To Get Work Done
We’re incredibly excited to see the VR/AR use cases rise in the workplace. One of the largest telecommunications companies in the world is using VR as a way of training its retail employees on how to sell their phone and data packages. Businesses today are using VR/AR to unlock their company’s and their employees’ potential.
Employees put on the headset, have customers in VR come up and ask typical questions about upgrading phone plans or data plans, and then employees practice. It’s incredible to see how VR/AR will help salespeople close more by practicing. In addition to this, management needs a way of tracking engagement for training programs in order to measure the return on investment for these initiatives.
“we take care of the people, the products, the profits…in that order”
— Ben Horowitz
My mantra has always been, “the people, the products, the profits” (Ben Horowitz) and I believe that companies will be using VR/AR as a way of investing in their people to achieve business objectives like solving employee retention and happiness, increasing sales, as well as, increasing productivity.
This is just the beginning.
As an enterprise VR/AR distribution platform, we’re seeing it through a realistic lens as businesses are starting to tool up their employees to be more effective.
The future is bright for the workplace!
