A Portion of Proceeds Will Be Donated to Charities Benefiting Those Impacted by COVID-19

Since the start of the pandemic, thousands of musicians and artists have lost their gigs and are unable to perform in-person concerts, sparking fear in many trying to make ends meet. For musicians, the excitement, and monetary benefits, of playing live shows for fans and followers were stripped away from them in just hours as health regulators and venue operators canceled shows and enforced social distancing measures across the country. MeetMe hopes to relieve some of this burden by hosting MeetMe Live Aid — a four-week long fundraiser dedicated to helping talent impacted by stay at home orders across the country.

Beginning April 23 and lasting through May 14, MeetMe Live Aid will welcome new and emerging talented musical artists to its virtual stage in order to raise money for charities making a difference in the lives most impacted by the novel coronavirus.

Chris Casper, star of MeetMe Live’s Suited Up live show, will co-host the weekly, hour long performances beginning at 10:00pm ET on Thursday nights. Our portion of the proceeds from the Golden Microphone gift, up to $5,000, will be donated to charities making a difference in the lives of those most affected by the novel coronavirus.

By providing live entertainment, MeetMe Live Aid hopes to comfort those who find themselves home more than ever, but also those impacted the most by the pandemic. While it is hard to remain hopeful in these turbulent times, making connections, creating friendships, and finding love is still very possible on MeetMe.
