Banned TED talks, psychedelics, and the truth.

Consciousness continues to be a conundrum for everyone. The scientific community continues to conduct research and the spiritual community continues to explore it. One can only hope they merge closer and closer together to help us discover more about this phenomenon.

However, some argue that there is a legal layer, or obstacle, to these pursuits.

Many mind-altering drugs such as ayahuasca and magic mushrooms remain illegal in many countries, and are considered critical to the healing of the mentally ill, the psychonaut’s journey, and maybe even evolution.

The Banned TED Talks

You can’t talk about a war on consciousness without mentioning Graham Hancock.

As someone that grew up binging TED talks, it always shocks me when I stumble across the growing handful of “banned” talks that are thrown out for a wide range of reasons. In Hancock’s case, it’s said to be because of his endorsement of an illegal drug like ayahuasca, or even that his “claims” or theories are not rooted in evidence.

Seeing as doctors continue to say that depression is because of low serotonin and there isn’t evidence to prove this, I don’t think TED is interested in the studies. And, seeing as many religious
