Jason Yip
Did a stint at a Canadian defence contractor as an intern. Graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Calgary but focused on software. First encountered Extreme Programming in 1999 while working on a MSc in Software Engineering (never completed). My advisor helped run the first Extreme Programming conference (XP 2000). Joined ThoughtWorks in 2001 right at the moment the dot com bubble burst. I was a committer on the first Open Source continuous integration server, CruiseControl. Somewhat randomly ended up in Australia for 14ish years and got citizenship. Joined Spotify in 2015 and moved to NYC. Left Spotify at the end of 2022. Joined Grainger in 2023.
