Design is ideas, and ideas are often quotes. For instance “That great poets imitate and improve, whereas small ones steal and spoil.”, was a quote from W. H. Davenport Adams, 1892. But seven decades later this quote has changed to the opposite: “Good artists copy, great artists steal”, which appears to not be Picasso’s quote like Steve Jobs thought. Anyway, what I see in this article, is that the author seems to have steal this quote again (I think that “to steal” in the non-physical world means using something without telling the source), and what we see in result is that he came back to the original meaning of the first quote from 1892, so we can say that the author’s is right.
