It was Thursday, an emergency scheduled counseling session. I had been grappling with this nagging thought for about a week. My counselor had encouraged me to try and delve deeper into my own past, as a means of organizing and processing my life and my thoughts. I had hit a stumbling block, a painful memory that was deeply submerged. A night that I subconsciously and consciously was blocking out.
