Here are The 7 Top Conferences To Attend In 2018
The Consumer Electronics Show (January 9–13, 2018)
Obviously CES had to make the top of our list.
Everyone in tech is there, the future is pioneered within those conference walls, and it’s gigantic. Another reason to attend this event is that it’s actually fairly inexpensive to get a ticket. The cost is a couple hundred bucks at most. Due to its relevance and low entry price point, this is a top conference in 2018 that you won’t want to miss.
SXSW (March 9–13, 2018)
SXSW brings an eclectic group of people to an eclectic city to celebrate all things tech, music, and film. It’s truly a unique experience that intertwines so many great things seamlessly. Tickets can be pricey and it can be a chaotic event for a first-timer so we definitely recommend purchasing tickets early and buddying up with an experienced SXSW attendee.
Tech Week (Multiple Dates)
Tech Week is not a week but several weeks that happen throughout the year at major tech hubs including San Francisco, New York, and Detroit. Tech Week events are great for rising startups and established thought leaders as their speaker lineups and networking events provide immense value regardless of your background. Tickets are incredibly inexpensive (we’re talking like $40!) so these are definitely a top conference in 2018 you won’t want to miss out on.
TechCrunch Disrupt NY (Date TBD)
If you haven’t been to Disrupt, are you really in tech? All jokes aside, TechCrunch Disrupt is the mecca for the tech community, specifically tech startups. It gives startup enthusiasts the opportunity to come together, meet investors, do business, and learn about the future. Their famous pitch competition, Startup Battlefield, has amassed a reputation for spewing out successful companies, such as Mint and Uberconference.
With Startup Alley, Startup Battlefield, and the rockstar lineup of speakers they bring in every year, it’s no wonder they landed on our list of top conferences in 2018.
Collision (April 30- May 3, 2018)
Collision a giant tech bash down in New Orleans that was an obvious choice. With 10+ mini-conferences inside of it, anyone interested in topics ranging from startups to robots to music will find their place at this event. Even better, after the event is over, attendees are encouraged to stay for the New Orleans Jazz Fest. With speakers like Chris Sacca keynoting, you know this conference means business.
Adobe Summit (March 25–29, 2018)
As the company that has pioneered tools for the digital marketer of 2018, Adobe’s annual Summit is not an event you want to miss. Aimed towards the marketer, there are tracks ranging from content experience to marketing innovations so you can deepdive into your skills or learn something new. Who knows, maybe they will announce a new product as well while they’re at it.
The Next Web Conference (May 24–25, 2018)
As one of the top European tech events, The Next Web is worth the flight. Their 2017 speaker line up is some of the best we’ve ever seen. From Joe Gebbia of Airbnb, Julia Hartz of Eventbrite, and even Casey Neistat, this event is known for bringing top of the line speakers every year. They are sure to deliver on this in 2018.
All of these events offer great speaker lineups, plenty of networking opportunities, and engaging workshops that will leave you with actionable tips. Which top conferences in 2018 are you planning on attending? Let me know in the comments below.
