1. The year ahead

2016 will be my year of changes.

I kicked the year off by resigning from teaching and followed that with 3 months of travel in Southeast Asia. More on that in a future post.

Goodbye Classrooms

This year might be a break from classroom teaching, or I might be done with classroom teaching altogether. Either way, I’ve decided not to rush into my next career. I want to be intentional about what comes next. To that end, I am exploring work that involves education outside of a traditional classroom setting.

Exploring Experiential Education

The programs are run by Jump! a nonprofit social enterprise: http://jumpfoundation.org/

My next step is to lead junior high students on experiential education programs in China in May and early June.

A Bangkok base

After these programs, I plan to stay in Asia to pursue other opportunities in experiential education. I am not sure for how long, but I expect to be here for at least a few months.
