Thought this was a pretty decent article that covers a lot of issues but I have problems with the last line: “it’s the type of aid we send that determines the future of this beautiful continent”. Really? Africa’s future is in the hands of well intentioned whites?
Aid (even if it is all used well) is still small given the size of these economies. There are much larger factors in play than aid and this seems to perpetuate the idea that Africans are desperate and hopeless without us. Not sure if you intended to do that but that last line reads pretty bad. Aid is not the only tool in the arsenal against poverty.
