Completing My First 100 Followers On Medium — Here’s What I Did To Celebrate This Amazing Achievement
I got 100 followers in just 4 months
In 2023, I started publishing articles on Medium.com as an independent writer because It is a profitable place for every writer to get started. Recently, I reached 100 followers. Here’s how I celebrated.
Dear Friends,
This article is a little bit different. Let me tell you why. There is an important reason for that. But before that, I will reminisce about some of the past information. I’m an independent writer on Medium. I registered in Medium about 4 months ago. Exactly on 14.05.2023. I published my first article on 14.05.2023. And guys, I have published 37 articles in Medium so far. I am happy about it. And I am proud of that.
As soon as you see the title of today’s article, you know the hidden idea of this article. Also, you know why I told you the past information. Now, I will come to the point. I decided to publish this special article because I completed my first 100 followers. I feel so incredibly happy. It has taken me 4 months and 37 articles to achieve this goal. I think it’s a fair attempt.

Looking back on my journey so far, I am happy about it. This was the first stage where I started to rekindle my desire to progress as a writer. That’s why I love and respect the Medium platform so much. Without any doubt, I would say that this is a special place with an interesting group of readers. And I recommend it to anyone.
It is possible to understand the scope of Medium.com by looking at the manifestations spread to many different fields. It includes multiple content, such as articles, poetry, and short stories. And readers can read each of those categories in different genres. That’s why Medium’s community of writers has grown to 200,000–400,000, and its monthly users/traffic has grown to 138 million. So, the medium.com can be cited as a place full of attractive content, whether viewed from a writer’s POV or a reader’s POV.

Let’s Celebrate..! — Things I Did to Celebrate 100 Followers.
Getting 100 followers. Followers are the community around me that reads my content. Shouldn’t I be thankful for them? I thought about what I could do for their sincere and loving support for days. At first, I thought that writing a letter was enough. But later, I realized I had to do something beyond that.
I mainly thought of three ways to do it. that is,
- Publishing an article.
- Creating a group photo of all followers
- Sending individual messages to thank all followers.

New Updates — Some Changes Coming in the Future
I hope to publish my articles with some changes in the future. I used to publish content as an independent writer. And I will continue to do so. However, I am thinking of presenting content through a certain selected genre. That is the genre of “lifestyle”.

What I Learned
“I have been working with Medium for 4 months now. I will bring to your attention, the writers, some of the things I learned there.”
- Consistency — Maintain a plan for publishing your content. Create a publishing schedule that works for you, such as once a week, twice a week, or every day. A better option is to specialize your content in a particular category. [Ex: If you are interested in fashion, write about it. It is easy to determine your target audience. Or publish thriller articles. The community that likes it will identify you easily.] It is useful to post a variety of content until you identify your audience. But once you identify it, prioritize that specific thing.
- Writing Style — Create your unique writing style. That’s where uniqueness comes from. It makes you stand out as a unique person. It will recognize you as a separate mark among the community.
- Freedom — Express yourself freely. Use a writing style and simple language that your community can understand. Also, take enough time while writing content. Then, it will be more qualitative.
- Engaging With Your Readers — Engaging with your readers is important. It is also valuable to communicate with them and understand their needs. Answer their comments. Question them. Ask them what they like to read most.
- Appreciate Fellow Writers — If you want to succeed as a writer in the media, this is the best way to do it. Actively engaging with your fellow writers’ content is the way to go. Appreciate their content. Leave a comment. Clap. Share content. It will lift you.

My Final Thoughts
Writing is an art. Figuring out the right combination is quite challenging. Most writers who are successful in the medium are people who understand it well. What is your favorite subject? It is worth writing on it. It has your passion and talent.
Don’t make your writing monotonous. When passion is lost, it will be boring. So, write what you like. Write freely. And add your writing style to what you write. That result will make you happy.
