“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.” — Warren Buffett

Rapper Meek Mill was able to ruin his reputation with a single tweet in the last week.

Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out! 😁

Meek Mill started a rap beef with Drake, one of the top hip hop performers, by accusing him of not writing his own raps. I doubt he put much thought behind that tweet cause he didn’t know what was going to happen next.

Within a few days of the tweet, Drake dropped two diss tracks and garnered much press behind his calculated moves. Meek Mill took about 5 days to respond with a really underwhelming track. If you’re going to attack an opponent, make sure you calculate every possible outcome and prepare for them.

This should be a lesson that it take years to build up your reputation, yet minutes to destroy it.
