John, your article highlights the unusual relationship that exists between the cartels and the general population. On one hand, their is fear and loathing of the drug cartels and their violent trade, on the other hand there seems to be this weird admiration and fascination with drug lords that even attracts Mexican starlets and Hollywood. I wonder if we can apply that same fascination to the phenomenon of radicalization that we see with some of our younger generation?
