Great article. In some ways, I feel like bots are somewhat analogous to the internet of things — as in, they are a solution in search of a problem. That’s always a bad place to start with any product or service.
We are thinking of using bots (my company makes software for health providers), but we’re thinking about them as virtual assistants that can help to make work more efficient — potentially to remove complex UIs and focus on natural language and performing key background tasks.
