This is a good point you make. Being a scroll’r and not a page-down’r it’s easy to overlook this. I think the semi-persistent stickys that hide when you’re traveling down the page and reveal when traveling up it are much more considerate of the user – I feel the content in a sticky nav should be focused on navigating the page and not so much for spoon-feeding a logo to the user
