To Fix Government Tech, Take Off the Headphones and Listen
John Battelle

The chances of anyone over the age of 30-35 being included in the USDS are vanishingly small, no matter what you’ve done or what good ideas you might be able to contribute. This almost total exclusion of anyone over a certain age from participation in these efforts is a clear signal that the contributions of older workers are not merely not sought; they are actively excluded from consideration. The idea that the Digital Revolution can only be understood and implemented by the Young is perverse and unjustified, but it unfortunately pervades large swaths of the technology community.
