Human overpopulation doesn’t just contribute to other problems, it’s the root cause of them. The physical roots of all environmental and ecological problems are overpopulation and overconsumption, the latter including consuming things we shouldn’t be like fossil fuels.

I fully agree with this article: we need to be doing something about this most important and huge problem, and we need to begin immediately. If we don’t greatly reduce our population and global consumption, fixing every other environmental and ecological problem would be like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
