Jane Austen Again on the Silver Screen

Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors. That’s why I’m pleased to hear that the adaptation of one of her novels, that includes other of my passions, was made into a movie:

They’ve made a movie from “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”!

I confess, I like zombies movies more than I should. All zombie movies are the same, but, like a child that wants to hear the same bedtime story every night, I always come back to the comfortable genre of the un-dead. And I’m not alone. “The Zombie Survival Guide” made the New York Times’ Best Sellers list, after all.

I don’t know if Jane Austen would have approved of this “adaptation” of her novel. However, given the fact that she wrote very bizarre horror stories when she was a teenager, maybe her answer would surprise you.

I’m sure this film will take its deserved place besides “Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter.” Now, if they would only make “Crime and Punishment and Godzilla”, my life would be complete.
