I’m torn. I absolutely agree with your frustration with the DNC for the reasons you list here. But Sanders 2020 is not going to happen, and while I can see many upsides to Warren 2020 — she’s perhaps the only person capable of attracting major (if not unanimous) support from both the Bernie and Hillary camps — I think there is a lot to be said for going with someone younger and less fraught with ideological baggage. I’m not a huge fan of Kamala Harris, but she’s a little better than Hillary and a lot better than Trump, and, as other commenters have noted, her low poll numbers may have something to do with her relatively low national profile, which, however, is not that much different than Obama’s was twelve years ago. And yes, as imperfect and disappointing as his presidency was, I’d take another Obama in a heartbeat right now.
