No matter how you want to qualify it, the White House was built using slave labor. The fact that there were others involved that weren’t slaves, that it was renovated numerous times, that a large part of the interior was gutted and rebuilt, that there were additions done after the fact doesn’t negate the statement that slave labor was used in building the White House. It is a well documented historical fact. Anything else is simply trying to rewrite history to try and diminish the fact or make someone feel better about slavery.
