Here’s how I’ve saw this be something stifling to a company’s growth and alienating good candidates if you look for a cultural fit how can you determine that without seeing how they first work with those within the company? I’ve been told I’m not a cultural fit so many times when I didn’t laugh at a odd joke or understand a quip and a few times for disagreeing with how it would be best for me to accomplish a “mock” task. You can’t put everyone into a box based on a culture that came from a group of individuals coming together and creating it. I just think looking for a cultural fit without understanding culture in itself that varies will cost employers potential talent.
