With fall term coming up, earlier today I found myself getting caught up worry, borderline freaking out as it, once again, was due to signing up for classes. Reflecting back on it, I’m glad I’ve learned to catch myself when doing that because I’ve done enough of my whole life. I caught myself, paused, took a break, and remembered that it’s no use worrying about it. It literally adds no value to the situation. In fact, it might make it worse.
I remembered in that moment what I was doing was pointless. It was not a good use of energy and mental brain power to fret over. At one point, I came back to simply asking “why?” Why waste energy worrying? What’s crazy is that this was the second instance of the day of this happening too.
Clearly, life wanted to give me a reminder today to let go of worrying. What happens in the future doesn’t matter right now. Move forward in faith that everything will work itself out for the better. Just as Dr. Susan Jeffers does with her saying above, move forward with faith in yourself that you’ll handle whatever you encounter along the way.
Noted.
Peace,
J
