They say the windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror for a reason. It’s all about looking forward, not back. Whether you’re trying to find a support network or make positive changes in your life, remember: having an optimistic outlook and reaching out to like-minded individuals is vital. Practicing windshield vision is an essential part of maintaining a positive outlook on life and chasing after our goals. By focusing on the future and staying mindful of the present, we can keep our spirits up and persevere through challenging times.

“See, when you drive home today, you’ve got a big windshield on the front of your car. And you’ve got a little bitty rear view mirror. And the reason the windshield is so large, and the rearview mirror is so small is because what’s happened in your past is not near as important as what’s in your future.” Joel Osteen

Here are some tips for practicing windshield vision:

  • Set achievable goals.
  • Find supportive people.
  • Reward yourself for milestones reached.
  • Stay focused on the present moment.
  • Visualize a positive future.
