Summer Night (1)

It was a hot summers night and he had been absolutely frustrated sitting in all day. He picks up a phone and decides on a time and place he has to be tonight to drink his miserable life away. She had been dragged by a couple girlfriends who complain she doesn’t have enough fun. They put on their best attire and left home with a casual Saturday night where nothing but getting wasted was the plan of action.

The party was 4 blocks away nothing spectacular or extraordinary. The usual extra loud electronic music, drunken teenagers and drugs. He hung around for a while till he needed to get some air so he walked to the top of the roof to suffocate himself with some nicotine where he lay fearlessly on the ledge counting the stars and blowing out rings. She just walked in with her very pretty white dress which her mother got her last week, feeling completely out of place with all the Crop tops and leggings around the room. 45seconds through she already hated the place. Her best friend handed her a drink which she slowly started to sip. The cheap vodka felt like acid slowly running down her throat while the fruit punch compensated for it. Till she suddenly felt a tickle down her back. Only to realize someone had clumsily dropped their drink over her dress. Completely frustrated she turned to her girlfriend promising her she would be back in 10 she ran upstairs to get some air. Standing on the terrace looking at the night lights where she couldn’t hear the music or the careless teenagers she felt completely amazed. She realized more than anything, this was her idea of a get away. This was her concept of relaxing. Just then as she was about to slip into a trance she heard a husky voice saying, “ Beautiful, isn’t it?”
