The comment about taking a picture of the crowd at a protest really bothered me. With the Republicans and states interested in changing the laws so that protesting becomes harder for the ordinary citizen, having a photo could give law enforcement what they need to place a person, you don’t even know, at a protest. Think of the Standing Rock protests. Those people are doing nothing more than what is within their rights, and they are finding themselves jailed, given huge fines and being accused of crimes they didn’t commit. Even outside police forces were overheard saying, ‘what did we just arrest that person for?’. SO, you photo of a protest, can become evidence against a perfect stranger who is doing nothing more than exercising his or her rights.
