This is not an instance where only women should be upset. Men should be livid. Good men all over the country should be enraged that Kavanaugh’s defenders would suggest that there is something inherently rape-y about being a man.
Well, you know what? Welcome to our world. Now you know what women have been dealing with for years, decades, centuries. And I’m afraid you have to do what we did: deal with it. Because these stories are going to keep coming, and they need to be told, because they’re important — however inconvenient they may be. They’re important. All of them.
