Wonderful reading of this passage. I wrote recently on Jesus’ teaching on money and he comes from the same place. The inner heart is where Jesus is preaching… I’m always reading in the NT the balance of relying on the Spirit for transformation that can’t be done by ourselves, yet also the need for discipline and putting ourselves in the paths where grace can change us… Just thinking out loud…
