This phenomenon is something Fuji X users (or at least I) have been long aware of but not quite to this level of explanation.

I personally can’t say it has bothered me relative to the overall look of the images (a subjective preference); I also respect that sometimes there are things we can’t just “unsee” when we know how something is working the way it is.

From a Fujifilm standpoint, I am not so sure their marketing has ever made such absolute claims. It is always the audience, while looking for the validation for their own “camp”, that adds the hyperbole.
