At Hunterdon Central, we have passed important milestones as we continue our comprehensive strategic planning project. Through leadership retreats, working group sessions, parent focus group, surveys, and more, we have drafted a new mission statement and declared destinations for our district’s future. Take a look, and let us know what you think.

Hunterdon Central’s New Mission Statement: Who We Are and What We Aim to Do

As we move forward, we are grounding our work in four priorities: Wellness, Powerful Learning, Active Partnerships, and Service.

Our 7 Stewardship Principles

In this work, we have identified the stewardship principles that have already begun to guide our planning. These seven statements provide touchstones in our conversations about what we should do next. As we examine new ideas, or interrogate existing projects, we are using these principles to ensure that our thinking is aligned to our strategic priorities.

We recently received specific guidance from our community through their participation in a large-scale survey. We administered a version of the New Jersey School Climate Survey, and mapped its prompts to our four strategic planning priorities.

We collected over 3,000 responses, and were able to use all of that feedback determine new directions in each of our priorities.

You can read a full report here.

We have been working to develop other planning directions, as well. We will soon announce opportunities to learn more about these directions, and to give us your feedback.
