A rose. A beautiful, red, rose.
What do you associate a rose with?
Valentine’s Day? An anniversary? Romance?
There are many things we associate with red roses .
Now, I want you to close your eyes.
Picture your life as a rose in a vase of water.
What do you see?
A bright red rose maybe?
A dull colored rose?
Maybe you picture the petals of the rose falling to the floor.
The average life span of a rose kept in water is approximately one week.
The average life span of a human is 72 years.
Now secondly, I want you to picture your life as it is at this very moment.
Do you like what you see?
How do you feel about your accomplishments in life?
If you had to compare your life to one of these three roses, which would you pick?
Guess what?
It doesn’t matter which of the three roses you have picked because ONLY you can control which rose you see.
As a kid, you were most likely told “You can be whatever you want to be in life.” Sound about right?
Well that same phrase still applies as a young adult, an adult, as well as the elderly. It’s NEVER too late!
Each rose I’ve referenced above represents where YOU see yourself at this very moment. I wish I could say we all see ourselves as that bright, red rose.
Unfortunately, that’s not always the case — life happens.
But I can tell you this much…
YOUR life is in YOUR hands and YOUR hands only.
Set your goals high, push yourself, or give up. It’s all up to you.
I hope to see you as that bright, red rose flourishing.
