You are definitely right, and part of picking a trust-worthy company is doing the research to make sure they have security protocols in place as well as actively pushing out fixes to ensure their products are ahead of any potential security threats.

This is a known issue in the IoT space, and something that many companies are actively working on by adding advanced features like two-factor authentication and alerts for new sign-ons.

There isn’t really a right answer to what is best or who is doing it better than others, as in many cases, it is ultimately up to the consumer to decide what products best fit their needs from both a feature standpoint and the security protocols that are put in place.
