I’ve decided to write a little something else that really fascinates me! The frilled shark, a monster that still lurks in the ocean. This shark is so rare and elusive that most people have never heard of it, let alone seen it. But trust me, once you learn more about this shark, you’ll be amazed and terrified at the same time.
The Frilled Shark
(Chlamydoselachus anguineus) is one of the most primitive sharks in the world, dating back to the Jurassic period, over 150 million years ago. It has a long, eel-like body, a flattened head, and six pairs of gill slits that form a frill around its neck. It has a mouth full of 300 needle-like teeth that point backwards, making it impossible for prey to escape. It can grow up to 2 meters long and live up to 25 years.
