Autism — The More We Learn
…the closer we can get to helping our kids
As close family and friends know since May 2013 my wife and I have been on the ultimate mission to help our two kids recover from Autisim. The most recent being a trip to New York to see the top GI specialist in country on Autism. That trip highlighted significant inflammation in my daughters low GI system which is treatable. It’s something like 80% of the nutrients in your stomach make it to your brain and these systems need to be in sync for optimal neurological function. Many of have studied the latter for years, but not until recent publications from Harvard have others started to listen.
Many folks are learning and trying to find answers, but I’m often so surprised when I come across interesting pieces of content from leading physicians and researchers and the consumption of that content is so low. The bulleted list below is an attempt to spark your interest to listen to the linked 2 hour recorded lecture. This talk should have 50K views and it only has 2,168. Here a few interesting points that I took from the talk.
- Iran is the only country that test Mold and EMF in the home of pregnant woman. Much research has been produced showing the negative results of EMF on babies in Utero. Some refer to this as Electrobiology
- This doctor believes that 75% of Autism is caused by Lyme disease passed down by the mom. The crazy thing is that most test for Lyme will come back negative as test will not find the anti-body unless the lyme is actually being treated — specially in our kids in which their systems aren’t tough enough to create the antibody.
- A child’s blood brain barrier is not fully developed until 18 months of age so both while in utero and during their 1st 18months of life many toxins can get into their nervous system which is very tough to fight.
- Treating the damages of Autism without treating the causes can just add gasoline to the fire.
- Many are focused on methylation in Autism, but toxins like Mercury have been proven to affect over 20K low level enzymes and not just the 20 represented by methylation
- Lithium has been known to help our kids as well as as ALS and Parkinsons — all related to the dopamine pathway
- Discussions of a Psychiatric conference in which attendees all agreed that these diseases are all inflammation of the brain.
- The Strain of Lyme Disease in the US contains both mold and elements of the herpes virus
- The higher prevalence of Autism in boys can be associated with testosterone
