What an utter joke. You have the right to say something is off the record and reporters should respect that. They selectively do not because they want to burn those they politically disagree with. Confidentiality is important, and if a reporter cannot respect it then they have no right to be anywhere near the industry. All of that above reflects the destruction of reporting caused by an egotistical, vicious generation of reporters who care only about pushing a ridiculous political opinion than actually informing. You represent everything wrong with the industry.
