I spoke here before about APAs

A zine (short for magazine. fanzine = fan magazine) is very similar to that, only written by one (or a small few) people, and often in a smaller page numbering.

Many zines are devoted to a favorite band, but there are many devoted to SF (I’m a member of a few), cult movies, horror films (I’m not into that!), and many other subjects… I’ll be glad to know about them.

Especially with the rise of DTP and PDF technologies they are easy to produce, but many have been hand-drawn and done on mimeograph, ditto-machines, or by photocopying.

A lot of SF fanzines (and mine about comicbooks) are available on efanzines.

(There are personal zines too, I just don’t know where best to find them.)

As my title/subtitle state: if you can’t find a zine about something that interests you, create it. You may find that others are interested by the same thing.

If you like this story recommend it. Better yet, subscribe above.
