REAL Fake News

Excellent for story ideas

Before you brand me a fool: I’m not for a moment claiming that they are true. Some stories may have a grain of truth (maybe a dust speck), and as a result they could have a distortion of truth… but 99.999 of their stories are utter nonsense.

You often see these as a distraction in supermarket cash aisles. Some like the Weekly World News seem so silly that they’re laughable.

Silly as they are, I find them to be great sources of ideas for my current fiction.

My current novels deal with surreal, almost supernatural situations. The strange ideas in these tabloid stories are perfect fodder for these.

One thing that I don’t do for these is to pay for them! I look at archives online, never to give them a cent to make it worth their time.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
